Intimate Partner Violence

The purpose of this two (2) hour course is to provide information about the definition and effects of intimate partner violence (IPV), how to screen for IPV in the healthcare setting, and how to provide appropriate nursing interventions.

The course includes information about responding to and documenting abuse, making appropriate referrals within the healthcare setting and in the community, and developing an appropriate safety plan.

This course meets the Florida requirement for Domestic Violence
